THIS SUNDAY - We are looking at Acts 6:1-7. We’re meant to live in community together, but what do we do when challenges arise, or conflict? How did the early church cope with this? How important is it to deal with things right away? Join us in person at 10:00 am or online at: Church Online.
EXPENSE FORM UPDATE - For all ministry coordinators please note we have updated our volunteer reimbursement policy this year. This means whenever someone fills out an expense report it is the purchaser's responsibility to retain a leadership team's signature if the amount exceeds $100. Please have all signatures before submitting the forms to the office for processing.
MINISTRY COORDINATOR MEETING - The Leadership Team would like to have a Ministry Coordinator meeting on Wednesday, November 27th at 6:00 pm. The purpose is to go over the discipleship plan together, implement a new policy, as well as have each coordinator take responsibility for their area of the church so we can decide how we can organise the assets of the church correctly.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD - Emilie Dorie is leading the Operation Christmas Child this year. This coming Sunday, we will have boxes for you to pick up and then fill up with gifts for each child. I have included the link here for you to see the suggested gifts for each gender as well as the do not include list. Once the box is filled and ready for a child, please bring them back to the church on Sunday, November 24th for Emilie to have them delivered. This is a neat way to impact all nations with the great commission in Matthew 28:19 - "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations “You don't know where your box will go. If you have any questions, please just email: office@centralfellowship.ca
HONDURAS MISSION TRIP OPPORTUNITY - “A mission trip to Honduras is being planned for February! Plans are not firm yet, but it is looking like February 4th to 13th might be the date, including travel. No big projects are planned, but the emphasis will be on participation in the Give2GiveHope child sponsorship program, including their food prep and food distribution, home visits to sponsor kids, fluoride treatments with school children, and a couple of small handyman projects. Talk to Wendy Graham and pick up an information package in the foyer if you’re interested.” - Wendy Graham (Missions Coordinator)
CARING MINISTRY UPDATE - “With heartfelt thanks, the Caring Ministry would like to share with you that funds donated to CFBC’s Benevolence Fund during BOTH September and October will be sent to St. Vincent de Paul’s Drop-In Centre. You have blessed this vital ministry by giving $1,200.00. Starting this coming Sunday, November 17th through to and including Sunday, December 20th, the Caring Ministry’s Benevolence Initiative will see all funds donated to CFBC’s Benevolence Fund during this time frame go directly to The Salvation Army’s Food Bank. Please consider supporting this hugely beneficial community-wide program with your financial gifts during the 2024 Christmas Season. God’s greatest Gift to mankind, His life-redeeming Son, Jesus, blesses us consistently! Let us “bless it forward” to many others. ” - Becky Gairns
EADIE MISSION UPDATE - “From Papua, Indonesia our family wants to wish you a very merry Christmas season! We want to thank you for continuing to pray for and support our ministry with MAF. We consider it an honour and privilege to serve as an extension of the church in Canada by working alongside the church here to serve the lost and least on this island. We want to share a few pics and the story that goes along with them. To God alone be the glory!” check out our mission board in the foyer to read more.
CFBC NEWSLETTER - If you know of someone who is new to the church, ask them if they signed up for our newsletter. Which can help them stay up to date with the church events and updates. Let them know they can sign up by talking to Chelsea Martin or by emailing office@centralfellowship.ca
MEMBERSHIP - If you are interested in membership or have questions as to what membership is all about, please speak with someone from the Leadership Team. To put it briefly, membership fulfils our obligation as a non-profit, but more importantly, it speaks to our commitment to one another and allows each member to hold one another accountable to biblical principles.
GIVING - We are so grateful for everyone who gives because you make all of this…the seen and the unseen…possible. THANK YOU for your generosity. THANK YOU for helping us be a loving community of growing followers of Jesus, guiding others to find, love and serve Him. You can also give via eTransfers donations@centralfellowship.ca or online at Give Online.
