THIS SUNDAY - We will be continuing our new series: How to Live out the Beatitudes. This week we are focusing on Jesus’ teaching about adultery and lust in the heart. Read Matthew 5:27-30 in preparation and please come join us in person at 10 a.m. or watch online at Church Online.

GROUNDS KEEPING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Now that we are heading into the summer months the church will need volunteers for looking after the grounds by lawn mowing. There is a signup sheet that will be going around, we would appreciate your help. If you have any questions, please consult Dennis Lawrence of the office.

CHURCH IN THE PARK - On Sunday, June 2nd we will be joining the other churches in the city for a joint worship celebration at Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park. There will be no service at CFBC that Sunday morning so please mark your calendars!

SPRING PLANNING MEETING - will be on Sunday, June 9th following the service and in conjunction with a potluck. This is a time for us to gather and vote on incoming LT members and Ministry Coordinators. Please mark your calendars! Please bring a food item to share with your CFBC family.

BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN - Once again, the CFBC Caring Ministry (as part of our ongoing Benevolence Initiatives), humbly encourages all those who call CFBC “home” to consider joining us as we come alongside ADVOKATE LIFE & EDUCATION SERVICES in their “ANNUAL BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN”! Beginning this coming Sunday (Mother’s Day), baby bottles will be available for you to SIGN OUT, take home, and fill with loose change/paper money/cheque, or, you can fill out the form inside the bottle which gives instructions on how to donate using your credit card (online). All baby bottles must be returned by the last SUNDAY of June (30th).  Whenever you return your baby bottle, please ensure you give it directly to Becky Gairns (and NOT back into the basket from which you picked up your empty baby bottle). All funds raised will go directly to supporting vulnerable women and families in Prince George's facing unplanned pregnancies. Thank you, in advance, for choosing to be Christ’s Heart ♥ in our community!”

PLAN TO PROTECT TRAINING - On Monday, June 10th from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm, there will be a training session for all the new volunteers that signed up for the nursery ministry and club DJ (pizza will be provided). Please make sure you mark your calendars as you need to complete the training to become qualified for the position you are applying for. If you need an application, please contact the office or Karen Walkey

MISSION OPPORTUNITY - Are you a teacher or administrator that the Lord is nudging towards something new? Mission Aviation Fellowship recruits teachers for mission schools around the world, including Hillcrest. Currently, they have a real need for a multi-grade elementary teacher in Wamena (where one of the MAF bases is, Central Papua). Please follow the link to Register or if you want more information, please talk to Wendy Graham.

NESS LAKE CANS FOR KIDS - NLBC's Cans for Kids is one of our annual fundraisers for the camper sponsorship fund.  These fundraisers are how we can send kids to camp whose families otherwise cannot afford to send their children.  The impact is great and we need your help to make this happen! Come see us at Nechako Bottle Depot on 1st Ave Saturday, May 25 from 9 am to 4 pm. Need us to pick up your large donation of 3+ large garbage bags of cans/bottles/milk jugs?  Sign up now for pick-up service.

YOUR GIFTS - Giving is a principle that is taught throughout the Bible. When we tithe and give, we tangibly express worship by putting God first in our lives, all while allowing us to be part of the most important work in life which is spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ! You can place your gifts in the donation box in the foyer or use the debit machine there. You can also give via eTransfers donations@centralfellowship.ca or online at Give Online.
