THIS SUNDAY - We are continuing our Advent series in the book of Isaiah, this week looking at chapter 61:1-4. How does the Christmas season bring joy? What does it mean to be joyful and how is it different from happiness? Does God enjoy forgiving sin? These are some of the questions that we’ll be addressing so come join us in person at 10 a.m. or watch online at Church Online.
CHRISTMAS FOOD HAMPERS - LAST WEEK TO GIVE - It is time to start preparing for the annual distribution of Christmas Food Hampers within the Prince George community. The goal is to bless 20 families/individuals with a well-stocked food hamper for use over the Christmas season. Please consider signing up to provide the food items required to bring this initiative to fruition. Sign-up sheets will be passed around during Sunday morning services here at CFBC (Nov 26, Dec 3, and Dec 10). The food hampers will be distributed on Saturday, December 16th. You may also email Becky Gairns (by December 12th) to sign up for providing food items. All food items are to be brought to CFBC's kitchen no later than Thursday, December 14th at 11:45 a.m. ALTERNATIVELY, you may choose to donate to CFBC's Benevolence Fund between now and Dec 15th. May God richly bless you for your generosity!

EADIE MISSION UPDATE - Warm greetings from Papua during this Christmas season! Each morning, during a MAF leadership conference that Amy and I recently attended, we had the pleasure of being taught by a pastor from Vancouver, Washington. One of the passages that he spoke on was the story of the woman who was caught in the act of adultery (John 8:1-11). If you haven’t read it, I encourage you to check it out! The local teachers of the law are ready to publicly stone a woman to death and use the situation to potentially corner and discredit Jesus. Should they execute her? If Jesus answers “no”, this would break Mosaic Law. If he answered “yes”, then he would come across as harsh, cruel, and unsympathetic to the people around him. Continue Reading Here
BERGEN MISSION UPDATE - We just wanted to let everyone know that Baby Bergen - Or now we can say, Luke Ransom Henry Bergen was born on November 24th at 10:38 pm. After a surprise induction due to health concerns, Luke was admitted to the NICU for 4 days. We are thankful to the NICU nurses for getting Luke into a place where he was safe to come home. We are also super thankful for everyone who prayed for us during that time.
GIVING - Generosity has little to do with how much you have. It has everything to do with the attitude of your heart and your faithful obedience to God. Generosity is one of those perspective-altering things…when we focus on the needs of others, we become less selfish and happier. When you only think about the things you don’t have or how miserable things are, it’s tough not to feel bad. But when you think about God’s goodness and grace, despite our own mess-ups, our perspective changes. You can place your gifts in the donation box in the foyer or use the debit machine there. You can also give via eTransfers donations@centralfellowship.ca or online at Give Online
