WHITE SPRUCE CITY CHORUS - Are you interested in joining a singing group? Learn acapella with the White Spruce City Chorus looking for women of all ages to join. WOMEN’S WEEKEND - Hello brothers and sisters in Christ, we are thrilled to announce that our annual Women's Weekend session is taking place Oct 18th to 20th at NLBC and registration will open Thursday, Aug 22nd! This year we have brought back "Unplugged!" which is a half-day extra session on the Friday before the rest of Women's Weekend begins. If you would like more information can be found on our website.

PLAN TO PROTECT - Plan to Protect Refresher Training for Volunteers. Please plan to attend one of the following refresher training sessions. This is for Sunday School teachers, helpers, ushers, and board members. Monday, August 26 7:00 to 8:00 pm at CFBC Or Wednesday, September 4, 7:00 to 8:00 pm at CFBC. Confirm attendance with Chelsea at the CFBC office or Karen Walkey at Karen.walkey@gmail.com or 250-617-5812.

FREEDOM SESSION - We will be running a Freedom Session this fall as one of the main components of our discipleship ministry. It is a healing discipleship/leadership development program that is designed to expose anything or area in our lives that is limiting us from walking in the freedom that God intended, lead us in healing or releasing those things, and give us tools to process life, listen to the voice of God in our lives and walk in the path that he has designed for each of us. It will run on Monday nights from mid-September to mid-May from 7 pm to 9 pm, starting on September 16, 2024. Registration is currently open, but space is limited. We only have a few more spaces available for both men and women, so if you are interested, please contact Janice McDonald (janicem@centralfellowship.ca) or the church office soon. 

KICKOFF SUNDAY - Will be Sunday, September 15th. Come celebrate with us as we kick off a new ministry year. We will be having a potluck lunch after the service, so please mark your calendars! We would like to know what you’ve been up to this summer, please email your pictures to the office before the kick-off.

AUGUST BENEVOLENCE INITIATIVE - In just under 5 weeks, another academic school year will be underway!  Once again, the CFBC Caring Ministry has set as its August Benevolence Initiative the collection of much-needed SCHOOL SUPPLIES.  As in the past few years, we will donate these school supplies to two specific schools:  Nusdeh Yoh Elementary, and Van Bien Elementary.  What supplies are most needed?  Pencils , Pens , 3-hole punched lined paper, Wax Crayons , Erasers, Scissors , rulers , paint sets , Duotangs, 3-Ring Binders, Pencil Crayons, Glue Sticks. Will you please take a few minutes while shopping to pick up a few of these items and bring them to CFBC by SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 1st?  There is a labelled collection box located in the church’s foyer for all your generous donations. . Alternatively, you may choose to donate directly to the CFBC Benevolence Fund during August (please designate that your donation is to go into the Benevolence Fund).  All monies donated to the Benevolence Fund during August will be used to purchase school supplies for students at these two schools.  Thank you dear friends. SUMMER PHOTOS - We are already at the end of July, meaning all of you have been off on your summer vacations/adventures. We would love for you to send us photos from your summer by September 8th as we will be creating a slideshow for Kick-off Sunday. 

WORSHIP NEEDED - We need some vocalists, a drummer & pianist for CFBC. If you know someone who can step up to the role, please let us know. Feel free to email the office or talk to Patti Smith, our Worship Ministry Coordinator.

NO SUNDAY SCHOOL - Now that we are in the summer months, there will be NO Sunday school until the fall, Sunday, September 15th. Additionally, we will be providing activity packs for the children that will be provided after worship time. If you need help finding an activity pack for your child, ask Chelsea Martin or one of the ushers to help you locate one. 

CFBC NEWSLETTER - If you know of someone new to the church, ask them if they signed up for our newsletter. Which can help them stay up to date with the church events and updates. Let them know they can sign up by talking to Chelsea Martin or by emailing office@centralfellowship.ca
